Privacy Policy

The short version

HypeChime is designed to be private by default.

The HypeChime app does not require an account, login, email address, or personal profile. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking in the app.

The core HypeChime experience runs on your device.

What information does HypeChime collect?

The HypeChime app does not collect, store, or transmit personal information through the app as part of the normal clock experience. The core HypeChime experience runs entirely on your device.

You can use the app without providing your name, email address, phone number, or other personal information.

Information stored on your device

HypeChime stores certain app settings locally on your device, such as your clock and artwork preferences.

This locally stored information is not sent to HypeChime and is not used to build a personal profile.

Analytics and tracking

HypeChime does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party tracking software in the app.

We do not use tracking technologies to follow you across apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles from your use of HypeChime.

Advertising

HypeChime does not contain advertising.

In-app purchases

HypeChime offers optional poster packs as one-time in-app purchases. These purchases add additional cinematic artwork to the HypeChime experience. There are no subscriptions for poster packs.

Payments are processed through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit and App Store systems. HypeChime does not receive your payment card number or other payment-card details.

Apple may provide HypeChime with transaction information needed to verify and deliver an in-app purchase. HypeChime uses this information only as necessary to provide purchased content and operate the purchase functionality.

Apple's handling of payment and App Store information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.

Alpha signup and website information

This Privacy Policy applies to the HypeChime app. Information voluntarily provided through the HypeChime website, including the alpha signup form, is handled separately from the app.

If you choose to join the HypeChime alpha, you may be asked to provide information such as your email address so that we can contact you about alpha access, TestFlight invitations, feedback, and related HypeChime communications.

The alpha signup form is provided through a third-party service. Information submitted through that form is subject to the third party's own privacy practices in addition to any practices described when you submit the form.

You do not need to provide information through the alpha signup form to use the HypeChime app when it becomes publicly available.

Children's privacy

HypeChime does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Because the app does not require an account or personal information for its core experience, children can use the app without providing HypeChime with personal information.

Data sharing

HypeChime does not sell or rent personal information.

We do not share personal information collected through the app with advertisers or data brokers.

Changes to this policy

HypeChime may evolve over time. If we introduce features that materially change how information is collected, used, stored, or shared, we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the effective date before those changes take effect.
